• Architect and re-design large-scale IP/MPLS and IP-VPN networks with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Architect and re-design QoS policies for various IP services and provide a data-driven or analytical approach to ensure efficient network utilization.
• Develop and implement encryption and security policies for IP networks to maintain the highest level of network security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new services and features.
• Provide technical leadership.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent approach to network design.

Job description

Telia is now ramping up the NorthStar program to give Sweden’s and the Nordics' influencing industrial companies access to a 5G innovation network and the opportunity to explore the latest 5G technologies. Telia is doing this in partnership and is now searching for more talents that want to work with the newest technologies such as network slicing and positioning, all in close collaboration with our industrial customers. In the journey of helping industrial companies reinvent better connected businesses by accelerating the adoption of 5G, Telia will also learn and build an even stronger position as the front-running operator in the Nordic and Baltic region.

With this recruitment process, we are seeking to strengthen Telia's team around IP services and IP/MPLS infrastructure, and are looking for an IP/MPLS/IP-Service Network Architect to join the team. The team today consists of 7 lead architects covering fixed access, optical, packet transport, and software control (SDN). Ideally, the new team member has a recognized track record of developing/designing/operating large, complex multi-service networks.

• Solid experience of network engineering in an ISP network or equivalent complex environment
• Advanced knowledge of Core/Metro/Access IP/MPLS technologies
• Advanced knowledge of IP services in multi-service networks
• Solid understanding of mobile system architecture, in particular 5G
• Full professional proficiency in English, since this is the working language at Telia
