Welcome!

For more than 20 years, we have helped over 170 000 young professionals to new jobs and careers – now we want to see you develop, gather experiences and establish valuable contacts for the future. In this guide, you will find all the information we think you will need during your employment at Academic Work.

About Academic Work

Academic Work was founded in 1998 by three students, among them our current CEO Johan Skarborg, who saw the job markets need for staff as an excellent opportunity to help their study buddies out into the workplace. Our first office was a boiler room at The Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) in Stockholm. Today, 25 years later, we have 15 offices around Sweden, as well as in Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.

Home of the Young professionals

We believe in the power and energy contained in the ambition of young professionals, whether you are studying, in the beginning of your career or have a few years of work experience. We are convinced that your drive is at least as important as actual work experience and formal competence. Therefore, we work with staffing and recruitment of young professionals. It is our niche, our field of expertise, and a target group we strongly believe in.

Our commitments

For us, it is important to take responsibility when it comes to the impact on the society and environment around us. We have chosen to focus a large part of our social engagement to the Response Network, an organization that operates in southern Zambia. When it comes to our environmental work, we work proactively to minimize our climate impact through an environmental thinking in our daily work. It is also for this reason that you can read this information in your computer or phone and sign your employment contract digitally.

We offer skills development within sustainability

The labor market experiences a growing demand for competency within sustainability. Therefore, we offer skills development within the area through “Hållbarhetsacceleratorn.” The course gives you insights and tools for working with environmental and social sustainability – something that will benefit both you and your employer. The course is digital, takes around 1,5 hours to complete, and you can start it at any time. You find the course on the consultant web, under "Mina kurser" in the left menu.

Stories & Insights

At our web you will find, among other things, “Stories & Insights” – a place for inspiration where we have gathered articles about job search, career tips and trends in the labor market.
