About the role
BookBeats support team currently consists of agents who speak German, Swedish, Polish, Danish, and Finnish, all working together to provide the best possible service to BookBeat’s users. As BookBeat continues to grow, we are now expanding our German-speaking support team. This is a long-term need, with most shifts taking place on weekdays, though occasional weekend work may also be required. The role is highly flexible, as you can work from anywhere and are not tied to a physical office. We are looking for you who have the possibility to work at least 20 hours a week
As a customer support agent, your main task will be to respond to customer inquiries in German and English via BookBeat’s web-based support system. Questions may relate to how the service works, technical issues, account settings, sales inquiries, and more. For the most common questions, you’ll have access to pre-written email templates to assist in your responses.
Work tasks
- Respond to incoming customer inquiries related to content, account settings, and sales via email
- Respond to customer questions on BookBeat’s social media channels
We are looking for
- You are Currently studying a post-secondary education and has at least one and a half year of studies remaining
- You have previous experience in a service-oriented role
- You can work at least 20 h a week
- You are highly proficient in German, and English—both spoken and written—as all external communication will be conducted in these languages It’s a plus if you:
- If you speak and write fluently in Swedish, Finnish, or Danish. Knowledge of other languages (Dutch and Polish) is also considered a plus.
As a person you are someone with a passion for literature and strong written communication skills. You’re curious about how things work and have a natural sense for service and customer interaction. Since the role is independent, it also requires strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to take initiative.
