Looking to support a global cloud security operation? We are hiring three Senior Cloudflare WAF Consultants to strengthen our customer's 24/5 support and operations team, handling incident response, rule tuning, and change management.

About the role
This is a full-time consultancy assignment (40h/week) running from October 2026 through December 2026, with a strong possibility of extension based on strategic decisions.
In this role, you will temporarily reinforce the Cloudflare WAF support and operations team. You will work remotely alongside the client's core WAF team located in Chennai, covering overlapping time zones between India and the US across an 18-hour daily coverage window.
Work tasks
- Incident & SLA Management: Handle and resolve daily Cloudflare WAF incidents, service requests, and change requests via ServiceNow according to defined SLA targets. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support major incident calls during outages.
- WAF Operations & Fine-tuning: Monitor security events and dashboards, investigate blocked traffic or false positives, and continuously fine-tune Managed Rules, Custom Rules, Rate Limiting, and Bot Protection.
- Change & Security Administration: Execute approved changes (ACLs, SSL/TLS certificates, DNS updates, and Cloudflare Tunnels) through ServiceNow change control workflows, validating updates before and after production rollout.
- Troubleshooting & Traffic Analysis: Analyze HTTP/S traffic, network traces, and logs to resolve connectivity and security policy issues in collaboration with infrastructure and application teams.
- Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation: Track onboarding status, incidents, and threat metrics. Maintain accurate operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
We are looking for
- Advanced practical knowledge of Cloudflare WAF operational management and policy fine-tuning in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on practical experience working within ServiceNow (Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, Load Balancing, and Application Security.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Flexibility to support shifts within an 18-hour coverage window spanning India–US time zones.
It is meritorious if you have
- Familiarity with Bot Management, Zero Trust, and Cloudflare Tunnels.
- Experience supporting enterprise application environments across Azure, AWS, or on-premise infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of Swedish.
