About the role
As a Synthetic Organic Chemist, you will work in cross-functional project teams at our client company. You will be engaged in both commercial projects and grant-funded research projects, with highly varied clients—ranging from large multinational companies and research groups to smaller actors. A significant part of the role involves laboratory work. Welcome to a fast-paced and varied role with substantial responsibility!

Work tasks
In close collaboration with your colleagues, you will work in cross-functional projects of varying size, with the purpose of developing tomorrow's solutions in chemical processes and pharmaceuticals. A major focus in the projects will be on developing new products from renewable raw materials and reducing environmental impact through process efficiency. A significant part of the role is laboratory-based.
- Initiate and define projects in close consultation with clients and commissioners
- Conduct hands-on laboratory work to develop new products
- Ensure that the project plan is maintained and that deliveries are made on time
- Collaborate, problem-solve, and develop processes in close cooperation with clients and commissioners
- Take significant responsibility for driving projects towards set goals
- Write research applications for new projects
We are looking for
- You who hold at least a Master of Science/Master’s degree in Organic Synthetic Chemistry. A Phd within the field is considered meritorious
- Have very good knowledge in the field of Organic Synthetic Chemistry and have experience with various sub-areas, such as peptide synthesis, oligo chemistry and conjugation chemistry
- Have good experience with laboratory work, preferably at a large scale
- Communicate fluently in English at a professional level, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious
It is very meritorious if you have
- A few years of work experience within the relevant field of the position
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of GMP
- Knowledge/expertise in one or more of the following areas: bulk chemistry, fine chemistry, electrochemistry, physical and analytical organic chemistry, and/or calorimetry.
- Understanding of large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing
